A glass top is the cheapest insurance a good piece of furniture can get. GlassForge cuts tabletops and shelving to any shape — rectangles, rounds, ovals, racetrack corners — in 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ glass with flat-polished, beveled or pencil edges.

We also replace shattered patio table glass (a stock item most companies won’t touch), fabricate tempered shelves for niches and retail displays, and template irregular antiques with cardboard or digital patterns.

Frequently Asked Questions

How thick should a glass table top be?
1/4″ for protective tops over wood, 3/8″ for glass sitting on a pedestal base with full support, and 1/2″ for freestanding tops or spans over open frames. Dining tables should be tempered regardless of thickness.
Do I need tempered glass?
For dining tables, patio tables and anything kids lean on — yes. Tempered is 4–5× stronger and breaks safely. For a protective top resting fully on wood, standard annealed glass is fine and cheaper.
Can you match my broken patio table glass?
Almost always. We stock common patio sizes (38″, 42″, 48″ rounds and standard rectangles) with the umbrella hole, and fabricate custom sizes in about a week.
Can you cut glass for an irregular antique?
Yes — we template curved and irregular pieces on site or from your cardboard pattern, then polish the edge so it follows the furniture line exactly.
How fast can I get a tabletop?
Standard shapes in stock thickness: 2–5 business days. Tempered and custom shapes: about a week. Delivery with bumpers included in the metro area.
